Gurbani Live Kirtan from Golden Temple Amritsar, Sri Harmandir Sahib is available courtesy of SGPC.
The daily routine at the Golden Temple varies slightly from month to month, so the times mentioned below are approximate.
Kirtan (singing Hymns) starts at the Golden Temple from early dawn (Amrit-Vela), and this can start from around:
- 2am –Febraury –September
- 3am –October –January
Asa Di War starts around an hour later:
- 3am –February –September
- 4am –October –January
The reading of the first Hukamnama occurs from about 4.30am
The first Ardas happens shortly afterwards.
The Asa Di War finishes at around 6.30am, and Kirtan continues throughout the day at the Golden Temple.
The reading of Rehras Sahib (evening Prayer) starts at sunset.
The last Hukamnama takes place from 21.30
The Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji is taken from the Golden Temple inner sanctum to the Akal Takht Sahib from approximately 21:45
